Holidays in colors - painting course

The nature surrounding the hotel – the Biokovo mountain range, green olive groves and the blue Adriatic – has always been a source of inspiration for artists. Tutored by an academic painter, this painting course includes both theoretical and hands-on lessons about the tools, painting techniques (watercolor, tempera), pencil drawing, as well as color mixing.

Desa Marijeta

The point of this workshop is the sublimation of the participants’ emotions: the transformation of accumulated desires, frustrations, stress, ambitions and fears into something new and creative. We will look for topics both in the contents of the hotel as well in the magnificent and unique locality and everyday encounters with local people – fishermen, farmers and beekeepers… In the process, we will also create opportunities for supplementary content in the form of available additional educations. All will be arranged according to the wishes of users. We work with unique materials that we use for all the necessary techniques and styles.

Experience Dalmatia

Arrival at the hotel and registration. Free time to explore the surroundings until the welcome dinner organized by the hotel.

  • Getting to know the group and the tendencies of the participants, psychological recognition of individuals
  • Presentation of general knowledge about drawing as such
  • Presentation of techniques
  • Recognizing the right path to take
  • Self-recognition
  • Moving towards technique and format
  • Walking through nature, getting to know the landscape
  • Planning the realization of what is to bee achieved, discussion and opinion of the participants
  • Working on piece
  • Monitoring and directing of all works in process on an individual level (there is no wrong inspiration!)
  • Completion of the pieces,
  • Exhibition of all accomplished works

BE CREATIVE

The workshop includes

  • 7 overnights with breakfast and dinner in the hotel or outdoors and dinner in the hotel restaurant (lunch not included]
  • 6 days hands-on painting course by academic painter Desa Marijeta
  • Transfer to excursion sites and to all hands-on painting course venues
  • Any required painting tools and supplies

The daily schedule can be changed and adjusted depending on weather conditions.
